How to Love Your Business at ANY Stage

This time last year, I was sitting on the beach on Coronado Island on a work vacation. It was magical! I spent a whole month with my son in my favorite place in the world, working minimal hours because I had an amazing team to help my business run smoothly without me.

That’s one of the things I really love about my business, that it allows me that kind of flexibility.

I wish I could say I’m writing this from that same sunny beach, but I’m not. I’m home in freezing cold Ohio because my son is in Kindergarten now and this season of my life simply doesn’t allow for a trip right now. My business is also going through a growth spurt, which means it needs a little more attention and TLC from me.

However, I can honestly say that I love my business.

Set Up for Success: What’s Your Word of the Year? Part 2

I love choosing a word of the year. Intentions and resolutions are great, but I find it really helpful to have a word or phrase on which to focus for the entire year, guiding everything I do.

In Part 1, I shared my last phrase of the year and how it helped me step more fully into my business.

Now let’s kick off 2019!

Set Up for Success: What’s Your Word of the Year? Part 1

There are tons of different ways to set goals and intentions for the new year. Some people make a list of goals or resolutions, or they just call them loose intentions. Others set a ton of goals. Some people set only a few.

You might fill out an entire planning workbook for your new year.

Or maybe you make vision boards. Another popular option is to choose a word of the year.

I do a bit of everything, but setting a word for the year is really helpful for me because it sets the tone for my entire year.

It’s easier to remember than a whole list of goals. I’m not usually a woo woo girl, but it also gives me a mantra or something to guide my thoughts and actions for the whole year.

Something as simple as that can make all the difference.

How to Record Your Metrics So Your Business Can Thrive

I see it time and time again. Business owners want to see their businesses grow and reach their full potential, and why shouldn’t they? Been there, done that! It happens to everyone.

There are only two directions to go when you’ve dropped the ball on a goal:

You can beat yourself up about it.

Back to Business: Get Your Business in Gear After a Summer Break

One of my favorite things about late August through mid-September is that back to school vibe. There’s a slight crispness to the air that signals the end of summer and the beginning of fall. There’s a newness that’s different from the newness of New Years.

All the shiny new school supplies. New clothes. Excitement and growth.

Whether you liked school or not, back to school time probably still conjures feelings of endings and beginnings for you.

Even as adults, and especially if we have kids, back to school can still feel a little strange, even though we usually aren’t the ones going to school!

Parents are scrambling to buy new clothes and school supplies and get their kids ready for the school year, but why should the kids have all the fun? Your business deserves a back to school boost too!
