Episode 24
When Consistency Becomes A Trap
In this episode ~
Today I’m talking about client questions and what they actually tell you about your business.
Not all questions are a problem. Some are part of any healthy working relationship.
But when the same questions keep coming up, they’re usually pointing to a gap in your client experience.
I walk through a few common questions I hear all the time and why they matter:
-
“What happens next?”
-
“Is this included in what I paid for?”
-
“When should I expect to hear from you?”
-
“What do I need to do on my end?”
These aren’t difficult or unreasonable questions. They’re signals.
When clients ask them, it usually means something wasn’t clear early on in the process. Not because you did anything wrong, but because clarity wasn’t reinforced where it needed to be.
In this episode, I talk about:
-
Why repeated client questions are data, not annoyances
-
How to spot patterns in the questions you’re answering over and over
-
What those questions reveal about onboarding, scope, and communication
-
How tightening your client experience reduces friction for everyone
The goal isn’t to stop clients from asking questions. It’s to design an experience where they don’t need to ask the same ones every time.
If you’re feeling like you’re constantly answering the same clarifying questions, this episode will help you see exactly where to look and what to adjust.

Can't See Your Own Gaps?
You know something's off. You're working hard, but momentum isn't building the way it should. Revenue has plateaued. Your capacity is maxed. But you can't quite see where the breakdown is happening.
Welcome to the club. Most business owners can't diagnose their own businesses. That's what the Gap-Finder Session is for.
I'll assess the seven key business foundations, find where things are going sideways, and show you what to address first. You'll walk away with a clear understanding of your critical gaps and a prioritized plan for moving forward.
Hi! I'm Teresa Cleveland
I've worked with service-based business owners for nearly 20 years, and one of the top things I've gotten really good at is seeing the gaps people can't see from inside their businesses. The thing that's slowing you down is usually obvious to someone looking from the outside. That's where I come in.
